CURLY TYPE 3: CURLY

You found out you have curl type 3! This curl type can be recognized by the clear spiral curls in the hair. The curls are 'S' shaped or shaped into ringlets. The types can be further divided into A, B and C.

Type 3A - Coarse curl, clear s pattern

People with this curl type clearly have curls. The curls are quite large and somewhat looser and coarser than type 3B.

Type 3B – Large spiral curls

Type 3B is somewhat more curly than type 3A. They are sspiral-shaped curls, ranging from bouncy ring curls to tight corkscrew curls. This curl type is difficult to straighten. These curls generally do not have much shine and the texture can be quite coarse.

Type 3C – Small spiral curls

Type 3C is a small defined spiral curl. This curl type has a lot of volume and is difficult to straighten. They can sometimes shrink and look shorter than they really are.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY CURLS AND WHICH PRODUCTS DO I USE?

For curl type 3 you do not necessarily have to use light products, but do not use too heavy products either. This causes your curls to sag because your hair becomes too heavy. But this curl type can require heavier products than type 2. Try a lot to see what works for you. Use a leave-in conditioner or curl cream for extra hydration and care and a gel to keep the curls in place and prevent frizz. The LOC (Liquid-Oil-Cream) method is a method that is suitable for curl type 3 curls. This ensures that the hair remains well hydrated.

In addition, you could have a Denman brush can try to stimulate the curl a little more and this can also help for a little more volume.
