CURLY TYPE 2: WAVY

You found out you have curl type 2! This curl type can be recognized by waves in the hair or S-shaped curls. The curls are fairly loose and large and are 'S' shaped. The types can be further divided into A, B and C.

Type 2A - slightly wavy hair

People with this curl type often think they have straight hair until they try the CG method and start using products for curly hair. This curl type has a light blow, but it is also quite easy to straighten. This hair has a fine and loosely tousled texture. The hair is almost straight but still has a slightly wavy structure.

Type 2B – wavy

Type 2B is already slightly more wavy than type 2A. However, the hair still falls fairly straight from the roots and the stroke starts from the middle lengths to the ends of the hair. This curl type therefore has a coarse wave and tends to become frizzy if nothing is done with it.

Type 2C – 'S' shaped

Type 2C often begins to curl from the hair roots with a strong blow. It is a well-defined S-shaped curl. Some strands may be a bit steeper, such as the underlayer, but there may also be a number of strongly curled 3A curls.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY CURLS AND WHICH PRODUCTS DO I USE?

For curl type 2 it is recommended not to use too many styling products. This causes your curls to sag because your hair becomes too heavy. Then use a styling product with a good hold, a strong hold gel for example. A mousse can also be nice if you have time. You could use a leave-in conditioner under the gel or mousse. A leave-in conditioner is often lighter than a curl cream, a lightweight leave-in is nice for curl type 2.

Daarnaast zou je een Denman brush kunnen proberen om de krul wat meer te stimuleren en dit kan ook helpen voor wat meer volume.
