About the Founder

My name is Jacquelina and I am the founder of CG Curls.

I have been an entrepreneur for 30 years now and have set up, taken over and sold various companies. These companies varied in size and operated in different sectors, such as Interim Management, Advertising, Real Estate and Recreation. For most years my focus has been on the B2B sector, but in recent years I have mainly been active in the B2C market.

My introduction to the world of curls came when I noticed that my own curls were starting to to disappear due to excessive bleaching and the use of the wrong products, as it turned out.

I searched on Google for ways to get my curls back and discovered the CG Method. After studying this myself, I decided to get started. I mainly invested in budget products, but also often made the mistake of buying products that were for curls but were not CG, simply because they said 'for curls'.

After selling my company in 2019 After a few months I wondered why there was no online shop yet where you could find all the information about the CG Method and where you could only buy CG products. And that was the start of a new company, namely CG Producten.nl .

With this webshop I didn't want to be just one of the many shops with the same brands as everyone else. So I decided to look into curl brands that were not yet represented in the EU and brought well-known curl brands to the Netherlands. I stuck my neck out, trendsetter is perhaps a better description.

This became a great success because influencers also wanted to work together to try out these brands and promote them on their profiles. You can now see these brands at all online shops in the Netherlands and abroad.

Similarly, I was also a trendsetter with my own brand, the Protein Drops that launched in 2021. And I will continue to do so. I believe that it is better to be innovative than to blindly do what others do.

In 2021 I sold the webshop because it became too big and I did not want to hire staff so that I could fully focus on my moisture line, Amazing Curls, which was launched in early 2023.

My challenge in entrepreneurship is to make something out of nothing.
