About the Founder
My name is Jacquelina and I am the founder of CG Curls.
At this moment I have been an entrepreneur for 30 years and have set up, acquired and sold several companies. These companies varied in size and operated in different sectors, such as Interim Management, Advertising, Real Estate and Recreation. During most years my focus was on the B2B sector, but in recent years I have mainly been active in the B2C market.
My introduction to the world of curls came when I noticed that my own curls were starting to disappear due to excessive bleaching and the use of the wrong products, as it turned out.
I searched on Google for ways to get my curls back and discovered the CG Method. After doing some research, I decided to give it a try. I mainly invested in budget products, but also often made the mistake of buying products that were for curls but were not CG, simply because they said 'for curls'.
After selling my company in 2019, a few months later I wondered why there was no online shop where you could find all the information about the CG Method and where you could only buy CG products. And that was the start of a new company, namely CG Producten.nl.
With this webshop I didn't want to be just another shop with the same brands as everyone else. So I decided to delve into curly brands that weren't represented in the EU yet and brought well-known curly brands to the Netherlands. I stuck my neck out, trendsetter is probably a better description.
This became a great success because influencers also wanted to collaborate to try out these brands and promote them on their profile. Now you see these brands at all online shops in the Netherlands and abroad.
In the same way I was also a trendsetter with my own brand, the Protein Drops that were launched in 2021. And I will continue to do so. I believe that it is better to be innovative than to blindly do what others are doing.
In 2021 I sold the webshop because it became too big and I didn't want to hire staff so I could fully focus on my moisture line, Amazing Curls, which was launched in early 2023.
My challenge in entrepreneurship is to create something out of nothing.
